About
After graduating with a degree in Wildlife Science, Vince worked as a wildlife technician on a number of research projects on the west coast. By experimenting with video in his spare time, Vince quickly realized the power and results of video as an educational tool. He shifted into video production as a way to bridge the gap between science and the public.
Since making his home in Vermont in 1999, Vince created Peregrine Productions and quickly expanded his focus through collaborations with researchers, educators, land managers and non-profits. The subject matter of these collaborations has expanded from that first range of science topics to historical documentaries, conservation issues and cultural new stories of foreign countries.
Peregrine Productions is small, versatile, and responsive. Depending on the project needs, Vince works with a highly talented group of freelance professionals ranging from animators, writers, sound technicians, editors, voice talent and musicians. As Peregrine’s principal videographer and editor, he focuses on producing high quality, relatable pieces that have a human voice at their core.
Vince Franke of Peregrine Productions is a joy to work with! He is perceptive and collaborative. His calm, friendly personality makes him easy to communicate with. He’s a talented photographer with reasonable rates—a great combination!

Vince was instrumental in turning a set of vague ideas into a visually striking video with a cohesive message. The footage was superb, the editing was concise, and the end result was a truly compelling story. The video has been an exceptional educational tool.

To celebrate our 10th year of service, CLiF decided to create a video capturing the range and scope of our work with rural and at-risk children. Vince Franke was friendly, skilled and flexible throughout the project, and his final product exceeded our expectations. Past and potential new supporters have been very impressed with our video and it is now one of our most powerful communication tools. We are very pleased we worked with Vince and Peregrine Productions!
~ Duncan McDougall, Executive Director, Children’s Literacy Foundation (CLiF)
Vince took the mystery out of creating a video for the Support And Services at Home (SASH) model by providing us a clear path from project beginning to end. Beyond his obvious talent at shooting and editing, Vince has exceptional personal skills – he made all the people he videotaped feel at ease and excited to participate. We couldn’t be more pleased with the quality of the product or process!
